Anna Liberty

A girl who's one-in-a-million

Father’s Day

I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.

I could never settle on anything.  I could be an astronaut,  an  actor, a teacher, an artist, a store manager – I really never focused on anything in particular.

I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up.

But that’s not quite true.

I wanted to be a dad.

So, in college, I studied “Marriage, Family, and Human Development.”  I figured that no matter what job I had, my degree would help me no matter what.

Then the years went by after college. I was a member of at least ten different singles wards.

It was pretty lonely at times.

I wondered if I’d ever be a dad.

And then, wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles: this girl came into my life.

And I was happier than I’d ever been.

And wouldn’t you know it,  things just got even better.

God gave us Anna Liberty.

So on this Father’s Day, I wanted to say THANK YOU to my amazing wife, and my incredible daughter.

I did get to be a dad, after all.

And it’s better than I ever imagined.

Thanks, again, babe.  I love you forever.

Need for Speed

During a recent visit to Anna’s great-grandparents, Anna discovered the joy of driving.

I’d say  more about it, but you can witness it for yourself!

This is the first of many catch-up posts to come…sorry for the lack of updates!
